This logo was created for a startup company called Textbook Takeover that was made to facilitate buying and selling used textbooks for college students through an auction-type format. The clients were looking for more of a casual, college-friendly, chill, vibe-like feel to the identity of the brand using "stoner" language and psychedelic graphics to stand out among the other textbook companies, however they wanted a simple and to the point logo. I created a flat, minimal logo using basic geometric shapes to form books out of rectangles. The simple logo allows for the graphic elements of the identity to be more funky and playful, and catch the attention of college aged people.
